Radford University Launches Coworking Space

Radford, VARadford University recently launched a coworking space, CoWorks@The HUB, in downtown Radford. Designed to foster creativity and innovation, this vibrant workspace supports freelancers, startups, remote workers, and small businesses. As part of The HUB at Radford University, CoWorks offers flexible membership options, university resource access, and a direct connection to student talent.

CoWorks provides a range of membership options with amenities like high-speed internet, meeting rooms, printing, coffee, and more. Its proximity to restaurants, public transit, and Radford’s campus makes it ideal for professionals seeking both convenience and connection. Members can also collaborate with students through internships and class projects, while benefiting from free business counseling via the Small Business Development Center. Radford University hopes that CoWorks will bring together the local business community and foster economic development in the area.

CoWorks@The HUB is part of a larger regional trend, as Virginia’s New River Valley continues to grow its ecosystem of coworking and innovation spaces. Alongside CoWorks, other popular spaces include COgro at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, QCowork in downtown Blacksburg, as well as additional “third spaces” throughout the region. Whether they’re launching a business or simply looking for a more productive work environment, these hubs offer professionals flexibility, connectivity, and community. The coworking spaces reflect the NRV’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and the evolving future of work.
