Virginia’s New River Valley is made up of welcoming small towns and close-knit communities, each full of opportunity. Spanning 1,458 square miles, the NRV is home to four counties (Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, and Pulaski), one independent city (the City of Radford), and nine close-knit towns ((Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Dublin, Floyd, Narrows, Pearisburg, Pembroke, Pulaski, and Rich Creek). Floyd County

Floyd County, VA residents are proud of the friendly and open-minded nature of the many artisans, farmers, and craftsmen. Music and arts play a foundational role within the community, which is proven by the large crowds at the Floyd Country Store’s Friday Night Jamboree and the many festivals around the county. Floyd County is also home to several manufacturing, research, and production facilities, a few of which are housed at the state-of-the-art Floyd Innovation Center.

Giles County

Giles County, VA has a history rooted in traditional manufacturing, but it’s the majestic mountains and the New River that closely tie the residents to home. The County consists of five unique towns: Rich Creek, Pembroke, Narrows, Glen Lyn and Pearisburg. Together these five communities comprise “Virginia’s Mountain Playground.

Montgomery County

Montgomery County thrives with young professionals, innovative tech companies, and vibrant downtowns energized by Virginia Tech. The area offers the charm of a small urban community with easy access to outdoor recreation and breathtaking mountain scenery.

Pulaski County
