Floyd County, VA – WDBJ 7 recently reported that new construction is underway at the Floyd Regional Commerce Center. Thanks to a $2.7 million grant awarded last year, crews have started preparing a 51-acre site within the industrial park, including building a new road equipped with utilities and broadband access.
The project represents a strategic move to increase job opportunities and support long-term growth for both Floyd County and the greater New River Valley. The county believes this expansion is key to attracting new business ventures and allowing existing local companies to scale up.
The expansion at Floyd Regional Commerce Center is set to be complete by the end of 2025 and will serve as a vital resource for entrepreneurs, small manufacturers, and growing companies in the NRV. The site’s development positions Floyd County as a natural fit for businesses looking to grow in a vibrant and connected community.
