Montgomery County, VA – Prestar Packaging recently won 1st Place and earned the title of The Coolest Thing Made in Virginia in the 2025 Virginia Manufacturing Cup. Prestar Packaging is a small, family-owned company specializing in all types of rigid setup boxes and the manufacturing of several unique gift card packaging solutions.
The Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA) hosts the Virginia Manufacturing Cup each year. This statewide competition showcases the most innovative, creative, and impactful products made in the Commonwealth, and this year’s event was the largest yet, with:
- Over 100 nominations
- 89 competitors across 11 categories
- Nearly 50,000 votes cast by proud Virginians
Prestar’s flagship product, the pop-up gift card box, was up against major brands such as Little Debbie, Smithfield, and a nuclear-powered submarine in the Coolest Thing Made in Virginia category. The pop-up gift card box also won gold in the Print Publishing & Paper Products competition.
This victory is a powerful reminder of the talent, creativity, and determination found right here in Virginia’s New River Valley.
