Giles County, VA – Giles County’s Wheatland EcoPark is set to benefit from a $3.3 million grant through the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program (VBRSP) that will advance opportunity and business growth in Virginia’s New River Valley.
This funding represents a significant step forward for both Giles County and the broader NRV as a more fully developed Wheatland EcoPark enhances the area’s ability to attract advanced manufacturing and other high-impact industries. When a site is equipped with modern infrastructure and ready for construction, it allows companies to move quickly in the site selection process. This readiness positions Wheatland EcoPark as a natural fit to draw investment that can create jobs in Virginia’s New River Valley.
This is the second VBRSP grant awarded to the 130-acre Wheatland EcoPark in recent years. In January 2023, Giles County received $387,865 grant through the program to support site development and lay the groundwork for continued growth. With nearly $3.7 million in total state investment secured through VBRSP, Giles County is building strong momentum and a more competitive future for the entire region.
