Pulaski River Turtles
You can usually find game nights at Calfee Park packed to the brim with loyal NRV residents cheering on the Pulaski River Turtles, a Rookie Advanced team in the Appalachian League under the New York Yankees. The Yankees are a source of pride for Pulaski and it’s impossible not to have fun at Calfee Park.
International Business
Pulaski County is home to a number of international companies thanks to a welcoming community and skilled workforce. The largest Volvo Trucks facility in the world is located in Pulaski County as well as other international companies such as Koinonia Foams (Brazil), Phoenix Packaging (Colombia), Red Sun Farms (Mexico), and GALA North America Inc. State Parks
Pulaski County is home to the two most-visited state parks in Virginia. Claytor Lake (Claytor Lake State Park) is a 4,500-acre lake ideal for swimming, camping, boating and more. The New River Trail State Park travels 57 miles on abandoned railway beds running next to New River.
